Exhibit Documents Chumash History
An exhibit spotlighting the history of the Chumash Indians in this area will debut Sunday at 1 p.m at the Stagecoach Inn Museum.
The exhibit features artifacts used by these early inhabitants of the Conejo Valley, who arrived in the area more than 8,000 years ago. The artifacts provide details about their daily lives, which included hunting, fishing, games and ceremonial rituals. The exhibit will also feature photo murals of rock art.
Access to the exhibit is included in the museum’s admission, which is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and $1 for children over 5. The museum is is at 51 S. Ventu Park Road.
