22-Year-Old Newhall Man Fatally Stabbed
SANTA CLARITA — Deputies are looking for the killer of a 22-year-old man who was assaulted by two men, stabbed and left to die in an apartment courtyard early Tuesday.
About 12:35 a.m., Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies found Steven Marquez of Newhall bleeding from stab wounds in the courtyard of Valencia Village apartments, 20960 Costa Brava. He was rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Deputy Michael Irving said detectives have not determined a motive in the attack.
Irving said investigators are seeking two 18-year-old men in connection with the slaying, but did not have physical descriptions.
