Re: Don Shirley’s review (“A Sondheim Revue Rolls Merrily Along,” Oct. 27):

We saw the Sondheim show in previews last week and thought it was terrific. Being Sondheim devotees, there is nothing much that he does that we don’t love.

Your review was right on the money. When we left the theater we filled out our comments sheets and mentioned how terrible it was that Carol Burnett wore a German Iron Cross on her jacket. This is no statement to be made to anyone! It’s not just an insignia, it’s an affront. Carol should know better!
