Saugus 44, Burbank 15--David Parker completed 16 of 20 passes for 289 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Centurions (2-6, 1-2) at Canyon High and keep their playoff hopes alive.
Parker threw scoring passes of 45, 27 and 41 yards to Chad Garrett, who caught six passes for 163 yards. Nels Jensen Jr. and Sean Stoddard caught touchdown passes of 11 and 30 yards, respectively.
Matt Sazzman scored on a 73-yard run in the second quarter to pull Burbank (1-7, 0-3) to within 18-7 in the second quarter.
Alan Guiterrez led the Bulldogs with 95 yards rushing in 21 carries, including a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Saugus needs to defeat Burroughs or Valencia in its last two league games to secure fourth place a playoff spot.
