What Are You Drinking?
Jack Cakebread, Cakebread Cellars: “A while ago a friend gave me a bottle of 1983 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon as a thank-you for something I’d done for him. I put it in the cellar for a month to settle down, then the other Saturday night I brought it up for dinner. My wife Dolores had done a marvelous roast pork loin. The wine was really very nice. It still has some fruit left and it wasn’t over-oaked, which really appealed to me. The only problem was the bum only gave me one bottle.”
