“At a Spanish restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, I had a 1988 Ochoa ‘Reserva’ that was just phenomenal. The guy who makes it is a researcher and has a winery in the state of Navarra, up in the north of Spain. His ’91 was stunning, but it’s gone. The ’92 is on the shelves but needs a little more time before it will be ready. The 1988 was just gorgeous, a mixture of Cabernet and Tempranillo. It is black and good.”
