Sonora Tops Troy With Two Runs in 13th

Carrie Wisen’s bases-loaded double with two outs in the bottom of the 13th inning scored Michelle Miller and Jennifer Link to give seventh-ranked Sonora a 2-1 victory over Troy in a Freeway League softball game Thursday at Sonora.

Jennifer Bretchel singled to center to drive in Lisa Jackson with one out in the 13th inning for Troy (12-6, 0-1).

Andee Lindgren struck out nine and walked three to improve to 6-1 for Sonora (14-3, 1-0). Troy’s Lindsey Knoff (12-4) struck out 11 and walked three.
