Sunday Auction to Benefit 4 Orphans
Antiques, rare Beanie Babies and Las Vegas trips will be auctioned off Sunday afternoon at a fund-raiser for four orphans.
The children, ages 9 to 14, were orphaned after their parents, Todd and Sherry Connolly, were killed in a motorcycle accident in February.
To prevent separating the children, friends and relatives are working to raise funds for their care.
Currently, the children live in the Santa Clarita Valley with an aunt who has five children of her own. But the lack of space demands that the children either be separated or that the family move to a larger house.
The goods to be auctioned, which were donated, include a Chevrolet Lumina van, $20,000 in new furniture, appliances and legal services.
The auction will begin at 2 p.m. at Valencia High School, 27801 Dickason Drive. Donated goods will be accepted from noon to 2 p.m.
