ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Platinum Software Corp.: The Irvine provider of business performance solutions reported first-quarter net income of $2.1 million, or 5 cents a share, on revenue of $66.1 million. The company said year-earlier results were not comparable because it changed its fiscal year end from June 30 to Dec. 31, and completed a merger with DataWorks Corp. on Dec. 31.
