LOS ALAMITOS

Los Alamitos High School will advance to the Academic Quiz Bowl National Championship after winning the tri-state competition earlier this month against campuses from California, Nevada and Hawaii. The contest, which Kiwanis has sponsored for more than 25 years, tests students’ knowledge of topics such as music, sports, math, science, history and current events. The school will enter the national competition as early as May. Team members are Christina Chai, Allen Cheng, Phillip Davidson, Paul Han, Danny Kim, Scott Lachem, Kenny Moon, Amish Parashar, Ye Park, Chris Uejio, Berkay Unal, Teresa Wang, Eddie Wang and Thomas Zamora.
