Police Have Suspect in Nail-Bomb Attack

A young white man seen on video images released by police has been identified as the prime suspect in an April 17 nail-bomb attack that injured 39 people in Brixton, south London, which has a large African-Caribbean population. Police said the suspect was not known to them, and they have asked the public to help identify him. Police said they have not linked the suspect to a similar attack a week later that injured seven people in Brick Lane, the heart of the Bangladeshi community in London’s East End.
