Lancaster Splits With Blaze

Lancaster fell to Bakersfield, 11-6, on Monday night at the Hangar, one day after the JetHawks defeated the Blaze, 9-3.

Lancaster is 14-25 and Bakersfield is 16-24 in the second half.

Greg Wooten (6-3) of Lancaster allowed three runs and eight hits in 7 2/3 innings Sunday. Justin Kaye earned his 11th save, striking out four of five batters.

Jermaine Clark and Jerry Amador each had three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs for the JetHawks.

In Monday’s game, Tony Coscia (8-9) of Bakersfield pitched six innings and the Blaze chased starter Russ Koehler after three innings.
