The City Council will decide whether to allow motor homes to be parked on city streets in the days surrounding New Year’s Eve. Some homeowners are worried about Y2K problems afflicting their homes and are requesting a temporary exemption to the city’s parking law, which doesn’t allow motor homes and recreational vehicles to be parked on city streets,
Some scientists have predicted wide-ranging computer problems as a result of the date change to year 2000, commonly known as Y2K. The council will consider the request at its meeting Aug. 17.
