Security Guard Fatally Beaten During Break-In
CARSON — A security guard apparently was beaten to death during a break-in at a scrap metal yard in Carson, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.
Homicide investigators said the body of the 65-year-old victim was discovered by another guard about 11 p.m. Tuesday. The office at the yard had been ransacked, they said.
The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of kin.
