MISSION VIEJO
Vocational Visions, a nonprofit organization that supplies jobs, training and recreational activities for the developmentally disabled in south Orange County, raised about $6,000 at a fund-raiser Sunday.
The function, which was called “Swingin’ Under the Stars,” was attended by nearly 100 people and featured dancing and a dinner catered by Claim Jumper restaurant. There was also a silent auction that included a week in a vacation home in Santa Fe, N.M.
The money raised will be used for general support for the program and to purchase items needed by various departments.
