Re “Germany Releases Draft of Eichmann Memoir,” Aug. 13: “Obeying an order,” writes Adolf Eichmann, “was the most important thing to me. It could be that is in the nature of the German.”

Good try, Adolf, but the bottom line is that nobody ordered you to become a Nazi in the first place!
