NEWS, TIPS & BARGAINS : Four Seasons Tees Off on Mexico Coast
Four Seasons is to begin opening its first full-fledged resort in Mexico (it also runs a hotel in Mexico City) Wednesday on a peninsula in Banderas Bay, about 30 minutes northwest of Puerto Vallarta. The Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita expects to have about 100 of its 140 rooms ready; the rest will open next year, a spokeswoman said. The beach-side resort has a golf course, spa, pool, tennis courts and two restaurants. Rates start at $350 to Sept. 30, then go to $425. Tel. (800) 332-3442.
