Donations are being sought for a traditional Christmas posada, a candlelight procession, to be held Dec. 17 at Fremont Elementary School, 1910 W. 10th St. Organizers of the event to promote peace, family and community pride are hoping for a turnout larger than last year’s, which drew 800 residents. Donations sought include items for raffle, food, money and candy for children participating in the procession. The event begins at 6 p.m. with entertainment by schoolchildren from Fremont.
