2 Men Sought in Restaurant Robbery
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the armed robbery of the Ranch House Restaurant in Ojai.
A Ranch House employee was leaving the restaurant through the back door at approximately 10:40 p.m. Thursday when he was confronted by a man armed with a shotgun, police said.
The man ordered the worker to the office, where another employee was working, and a second robber followed them there. The gunmen forced both to the ground and then took money from the register and from the employees. Both gunmen are 5 foot 10, police said, and both were wearing dark clothing.
The robbers fled on foot. The victims managed to free themselves and notified the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded and searched the area with a dog and a helicopter for more than an hour to no avail.
