THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported in the 500 block at 6:05 p.m. Friday.

* North Cliffwood Park: A burglary was reported in the 300 block at 1:01 p.m. Friday.

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 400 block at 11:23 a.m. Friday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Gladstone: A rear window of a ’98 Ford Explorer was smashed in the 11600 block early Thursday morning.

FULLERTON

* Daphne Place: A prowler was reported in the 2400 block at 10:37 p.m. Sunday.

* West Orangethorpe Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 7:44 p.m. Sunday.

* Pearl Drive: A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 3000 block at 7:59 p.m. Sunday.

* North Placentia Avenue: Police responded to a report of a subject drunk in public in the 1600 block at 11:12 p.m. Sunday.

* South Vermont Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 100 block at 6:01 p.m. Sunday.

* West Avenue: A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1100 block at 11:02 a.m. Sunday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Harbor Boulevard and Trask Avenue: A woman reported being robbed of her purse, credit cards and cellular phone by a man who brandished a 6-inch steak knife at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The robber, described as white, about 19 years old, 5 feet 9, 150 pounds with a shaved head, fled south on Harbor on foot.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Adams Avenue: A washer in the Laundromat in the 10100 block caught fire at 5 p.m. Saturday.

IRVINE

* Galileo: Hood and trunk ornaments on a car were found broken off and the hood was found scratched in the first block at 8:28 p.m. Sunday.

* Chablis Circle: A tire on a Honda Accord was found slashed in the 5100 block at 1:10 p.m. Saturday.

* Chateau Circle: A tire on a Nissan Sentra was found slashed in the 5100 block at 1:19 p.m. Saturday.

LA HABRA

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 1000 block at 4:28 p.m. Sunday.

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 100 block at 10:26 a.m. Sunday.

* West Mountain View Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 11:18 a.m. Sunday.

* South Walnut Street: Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 300 block at 12:48 p.m. Sunday.

PLACENTIA

* Chapman Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 800 block at 6:15 p.m. Sunday.

* East Miraloma Avenue: A burglary was reported at 10:54 a.m. Saturday.

* Melrose Avenue at Center Street: Gunshots were reported at 2:13 a.m. Saturday.

* South Placentia Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 100 block at 11:46 a.m. Saturday.

* West Chapman Avenue: A petty theft was reported at 8:05 a.m. Thursday.

YORBA LINDA

* Avocado Circle: A petty theft was reported in the 5000 block at 1:38 p.m. Saturday.

* Rockhampton Court: A petty theft was reported in the 4800 block at 8:34 a.m. Saturday.

* Short Street: A grand theft was reported in the 5800 block at 9:59 a.m. Friday.

* Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 19000 block at 2:57 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Monday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park and Westminster.
