Auditions for School of American Ballet Are Jan. 8
The New York-based School of American Ballet will hold auditions for summer students Jan. 8 at the Jimmie DeFore Dance Centre, 151 Kalmus Drive, Suite G3, Costa Mesa. Auditions are open only to intermediate and advanced students who will have reached their 12th birthday by July 31, 2000.
Students will audition at the following times: noon to 1:30 p.m. for students 12 or 13; 1:30 to 3 p.m. for students 14 or 15; and 3 to 4 p.m. for students 16 through 18.
An application fee of $15 is required.
The School of American Ballet was founded in 1934 by George Balanchine. Students chosen for classes will begin June 26 in New York City.
