ANAHEIM
Part-time Anaheim Public Utilities employees and the city reached agreement on a four-year contract this week that includes provisions for health coverage and vacation pay, the first time the employees have had such benefits. The part-time workers began negotiating with the city more than a year ago, but until a few weeks ago, they could not reach an agreement with the city. Before the deal becomes official, the City Council must approve the agreement at its next meeting Jan. 11.
