In the semifinals of the South Torrance boys’ soccer tournament:
Torrance Bishop Montgomery 3, Foothill 2--Paul Borovay scored a first-half goal and Hector Najera scored in the 76th minute to pull Foothill (5-4-1) to within 3-2, but the Knights still fell a goal short. Bishop Montgomery (7-2-2) advanced to the final to play Santa Barbara.
Foothill advanced to the semifinals after defeating Palos Verdes Peninsula, 4-3 in penalty kicks, after the teams played to a 0-0 tie. Jimmy Grigas scored the decisive penalty kick for Foothill.
