Beginning today at 7 a.m. the Orange County Red Cross will have paid and volunteer staff at the Orange County Chapter Emergency Operations Center, 601 N. Golden Circle Drive. The Red Cross staff members will be at the center through 7 p.m. Saturday in order to respond to Y2K-related disasters or emergencies. A mobile command center will also be available, courtesy of Tustin-based Steelcase Corp. The Red Cross is training Steelcase employees to use the mobile command center for computer, cellular and radio communications. Information: (714) 481-5300.
