ORANGE
City officials assured residents last week that they are monitoring slopes in the Vista Royale development for ground movement. The area, east of the Costa Mesa Freeway at the Lincoln Street-Nohl Ranch Road exit, has shown signs of movement. Residents have also noticed cracks on their property.
The city hired a geotectonic firm to investigate and monitor the situation. Officials said they also are providing emergency training to residents.
