U.S. Strikes Twice in ‘No-Fly’ Zone

U.S. military jets attacked two Iraqi defense sites in the southern “no-fly” zone, including one that fired on coalition aircraft patrolling the area, the Defense Department said. No U.S. aircraft were damaged and all returned safely to their bases, said the department’s Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. Iraq said three civilians were killed and many others were injured in one of the attacks.
