Lance Neal was named the football coach at Fountain Valley, Athletic Director Mike Henigan said. Neal replaces George Berg, who resigned at the end of last season. Neal, 32, has been a defensive coordinator the last 10 seasons, nine years at Irvine and last season at Capistrano Valley.
