Rising Investment in Asia: Seagate Technology Inc. said it will increase its investment in Asia and continue to use the region as its manufacturing base because its operations there have experienced growth of 15% in the last two years. The disk drive maker said its gross investment in Asia was about $2.5 billion as of last February, but it didn’t give figures on how much it will spend this year.
