The city and the Friends of Cypress Recreation and Parks Inc. have begun the ninth annual Tree Donation Project. Tax-deductible donations may be made in amounts of $100 for a 24-inch box, $300 for a 36-inch box or $625 for a 42-inch box. The “box” refers to the size of the container in which each tree is planted. Actual trees cannot be accepted.

Donations, which may be made in an organization’s or individual’s name, must be received by April 16. Each donation will be recognized with a plaque presented by the City Council and mayor.
