ACT Networks Names New Vice President of Finance

ACT Networks, a Camarillo-based maker of communications equipment, announced the appointment of Martin Woll to the positions of chief financial officer and vice president of finance.

Woll, 48, assumed his new duties Dec. 28.

Woll was previously employed for more than 25 years at Coopers & Lybrand, and most recently held the positions of business assurance partner and banking leader. He was responsible for business development as well as working capital and project management.

While at Coopers & Lybrand, Woll provided senior-level counseling on such diverse subjects as financings, mergers and acquisitions, internal control and decision support.

ACT Networks also announced an agreement with FORE Systems to market and resell ACT’s NetPerformer line of multi-service access products.

NetPerformer is designed to integrate voice and fax data, allowing businesses to implement branch, regional and central site interconnected networks.

FORE Systems is based in Warrendale, Pa.
