Gratitude for Babies Is Chapel Event Theme

Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa is sponsoring “Thank God for Babies Day” on Jan. 23, the day after the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court ruling legalizing abortion.

Lisa Burroughs, the organizer for the event, said there will be games for babies and parents, and free baby clothing, strollers and baby furniture will be given out to mothers in need. She said the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3800 S. Fairview Road, is “a family-oriented day to thank God for babies and thank God for our children.”
