THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:
ANAHEIM
* Moen Street: Report of a robbery in the 11000 block at 10:20 a.m. Monday.
* Poona Drive: Report of a burglary in the 10000 block at 7:03 p.m. Monday.
BREA
* Birch Street: Report of a petty theft in the 600 block at 8:49 p.m. Monday.
* Tamarack Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 1200 block at 9:08 a.m. Monday.
BUENA PARK
* Montana Avenue: Police advised children riding motorized go-carts and a dirt bike to stop riding on the grass in the 8400 block at 2:19 p.m. Sunday.
* Manchester Boulevard: A man was arrested on suspicion of robbing a liquor store in the 6200 block at 6:49 p.m. Sunday.
DANA POINT
* Pacific Coast Highway: A robbery alarm in the 34000 block was triggered at 9:15 a.m. Monday.
* Tiremia Drive: A robbery alarm in the 100 block was triggered at 6:50 p.m. Monday.
* Formosa Drive: A robbery alarm in the 34000 block was triggered at 10:09 p.m. Monday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Brookhurst Street: Someone stole a man’s cellular phone that he had left on the ground while he played basketball in the 16400 block; reported at 10:04 a.m. Thursday.
GARDEN GROVE
* Garden Grove Freeway at Magnolia Street: Police arrested a man on suspicion of fleeing the scene of a traffic accident in the eastbound lanes of the Garden Grove Freeway near Magnolia Street on Tuesday at noon. Police said the man led them on a foot pursuit that lasted about 30 minutes and was caught near Trask Avenue. The car the man had been driving had been reported stolen and he was on parole, police said.
IRVINE
* Main Street: Two computers worth $10,000 were reported stolen from a commercial building in the 2000 block at 10:42 a.m. Monday.
* Monroe: A digital camera and a camcorder were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block at 3:13 p.m. Monday.
* Sandburg Way: Jewelry, cash and a camera were reported stolen from a residence in the 4500 block at 1:31 p.m. Monday.
LAGUNA BEACH
* Pacific Coast Highway: A robbery alarm in the 31000 block was triggered at 5:25 p.m. Monday.
LAGUNA HILLS
* El Toro Road: Deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver in the 23000 block at 11:07 a.m. Monday.
* Las Palmas: Report of a suspicious person in the 26000 block at 10:45 p.m. Monday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* Marina Hills Drive at Niguel Ranch Drive: A 3-year-old boy was found riding a bicycle and trying to cross the street without adult supervision at 5:10 p.m. Thursday. The child had gotten away from his 12-year-old sister, who was supposed to be watching him.
* Niguel Road: A handgun was reported stolen from a residence in the 29700 block at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. There were no signs of forced entry.
* White Cap: A resident reported at 7:45 p.m. Thursday that a watch and military memorabilia had been stolen from his home office in the 29900 block.
LA HABRA
* North Walnut Street: Report of an auto theft in the 900 block at 7:32 a.m. Monday.
LAKE FOREST
* Coleford Street: A missing person was reported in the 24000 block at 11:40 p.m. Sunday.
* Commercentre Drive and Ion Drive: Gunshots were heard at 9:11 p.m. Sunday.
* Shoshone Drive: A robbery was reported in the 25000 block at 1:14 p.m. Sunday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Farquhar Avenue: A juvenile reported his skateboard stolen from a park in the 4000 block at 3:57 p.m. Friday. It was found and returned to its owner an hour later.
MISSION VIEJO
* Aberdeen: A cellular phone was stolen from a vehicle in the 27000 block at 4:45 p.m. Sunday. The unlocked vehicle was parked in an open garage.
* Alicia Parkway: A 20-year-old female was caught shoplifting video discs by store security at the Target in the 24000 block at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. She was booked for commercial burglary and assault and battery and transported to the county jail.
* Aviso: A vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 22000 block was reported vandalized at 12:20 p.m. Sunday. The convertible top was cut open. A wallet, compact discs and cellular phone were stolen.
ORANGE
* City Drive South: Report of an audible alarm triggered in the 500 block at 8:17 p.m. Monday.
PLACENTIA
* Angelina Drive: A burglary was reported in the 100 block at 3:32 p.m. Friday and another burglary was reported in the 1500 block at 6:52 p.m. Friday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Avenida Del Presidente: A robbery alarm in the 3000 block was triggered at 6:55 a.m. Monday.
* Avenida Fortuna: A robbery alarm in the 100 block was triggered at 9:54 a.m. Monday.
* West Escalones: A robbery alarm in the 200 block was triggered at 12:31 p.m. Monday.
* West Avenida Valencia: A robbery alarm in the 200 block was triggered at 1:51 p.m. Monday.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* Paseo Carolina: A robbery alarm in the 32000 block was triggered at 9:34 a.m. Monday.
* Avenida De La Vista: A robbery alarm in the 31000 block was triggered at 12:26 p.m. Monday.
* Pasei Espada: A robbery alarm in the 27000 block was triggered at 2:59 p.m. Monday.
* Old San Juan Road: A robbery alarm in the 31000 block was triggered at 7:31 p.m. Monday.
SANTA ANA
* Costa Mesa Freeway at East Edinger Avenue: Report of a traffic accident in the southbound lanes of the Costa Mesa Freeway near Edinger Avenue on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.
STANTON
* Katella Avenue: Report of a robbery in the 7000 block at 2:12 a.m. Monday.
* Cerritos Avenue: A robbery was reported in the 8000 block at 9:32 a.m. Monday.
TUSTIN
* Nisson Road: A 40-year-old man was arrested for possessing marijuana in the 1700 block at 8:10 p.m. Saturday.
* Packers Circle: Police were unable to locate the origin of fireworks in the 1100 block at 9:53 p.m. Saturday.
VILLA PARK
* Janice Circle: Report of an audible alarm triggered in the 9000 block at 10:52 a.m. Monday.
YORBA LINDA
* Delacroix Way: Vandalism was reported in the 5600 block at 8:37 a.m. Monday.
* Valley View Avenue at Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported at 11:10 a.m. Monday.
* Coal Canyon Road: Vandalism was reported in the 12000 block at 12:10 p.m. Monday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Laguna Woods, La Palma, Newport Beach, Seal Beach and Westminster.
