THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Thursday:
ANAHEIM
* Moraga Street: An Anaheim woman suffering from a stab wound to her chest remained in serious condition at a local hospital Thursday after police arrested two suspects on charges of attempted murder. Officers were called to the 600 block at 10:44 p.m. Wednesday. They found the 29-year-old victim; she was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange. Authorities believe the attack was motivated by a quarrel over money.
BREA
* Imperial Highway and Berry Street: A robbery was reported at 3:56 p.m. Monday.
* Kraemer Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 200 block at 3:09 p.m. Monday.
* Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 1:33 p.m. Monday.
BUENA PARK
* Stage Road: A man reported at 12:17 p.m. Monday that the rims and tires were stolen from his car, which was parked in his garage in the 7600 block.
* Homewood Avenue: A man reported at 1:18 p.m. Monday that he left his home in the 6300 block for 30 minutes and, upon returning, found a television missing.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* San Francisco Street: It was reported at 10:46 a.m. Saturday that a thief removed a registration tag from a car parked in the 17600 block.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Walnut Avenue: Three juveniles used Super Soakers to fire water at passing cars in the 1300 block; reported at 5 p.m. Sunday.
IRVINE
* Autumnleaf at Falling Star: The top of a black Lexus was damaged and the windshield smashed; reported at 6:21 a.m. Wednesday.
* Barranca Parkway: The rear door lock of a building in the 4600 block was pried open; reported at 9:37 a.m. Wednesday.
* Bayonne Circle: A window of a 1995 Toyota truck was smashed and a door kicked in the 5100 block; reported at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
* East Yale Loop: Police responded at 7:56 p.m. Wednesday to a report that shredded paper was spread over the front lawn of a residence in the 400 block.
* Winterbranch: A windshield of a vehicle was shattered and its hood and roof dented in the 10 block; reported at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday.
* Strasbourg Avenue: A resident reported at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday that a mailbox was kicked down and a car windshield smashed in the 5400 block.
* Main Street: A man reported at 10:28 p.m Wednesday that $500 in cash was stolen from his open gym locker in the 1900 block.
LAGUNA BEACH
* Pacific Coast Highway: A small group of 18- to 20-year-olds stole nonalcoholic beverages from a store in the 32000 block Wednesday at 4:07 a.m.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Via Lomas and Alicia Parkway: Deputies issued a citation for reckless driving at 11:09 a.m. June 5.
* Wilkes Place: Deputies responded to a report of a loud party at 11:39 p.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* Cabot Road: A glass door in the 28200 block was shattered and witnesses heard several men yelling before they sped away from a parking lot at 4:07 a.m. Sunday.
* Crown Ridge: Beer, wine, soft drinks and mugs were stolen from a garage refrigerator in the 29300 block between 7 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
* Crown Ridge: An arsonist set fire to a newspaper placed between a garage and a bush at a house in the 29400 block Sunday morning.
* Niguel Road and Club House Drive: Deputies saw a vehicle enter the bike path and drive into Chapparosa Park. The driver was stopped a quarter mile into the park and cited for vehicle trespassing at 7:20 p.m. Saturday.
* Pacific Island Drive: A toll road transponder was stolen from a vehicle in the 30200 block between 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
* Pearl: About 115 CDs and a CD holder were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
LAKE FOREST
* Center Pointe: A thief broke into the video arcade games in a business in the 22700 block and stole all the coins; reported at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
* Jeronimo Road and Cherry Avenue: A man who was on probation was arrested for possession of stolen property when he was found to have a stolen credit card at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
* Normandale Drive: A man arrested on a domestic-violence charge kicked out the window of the patrol car taking him to jail. He was treated for minor injuries and booked on an additional charge of vandalism at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
* Packer Place: A would-be thief attempted to break into a coin-operated washing machine in the 23400 block at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday.
LA PALMA
* Orangethorpe Avenue: A 1990 Chevrolet pickup was stolen from the 5400 block Wednesday.
MISSION VIEJO
* Avery and Marguerite parkways: A woman reported that a man in a vehicle exposed himself to her at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday. He was driving a red two-door Mitsubishi Mirage and was last seen getting on Interstate 5 at Avery Parkway.
* Cabrosa: A cell phone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 21000 block at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday.
* Chrisanta Drive: A vandal spread glue on the door knobs and locks around a building in the 25000 block at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday.
* Cordova Road: A 14-year-old was charged with stealing $50 from a business in the 27400 block at 2 p.m. Wednesday. He was cited and released to his parents.
* Modesto Drive: A woman returned to her home in the 22000 block and found an intruder, who fled before deputies arrived at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. He had entered the home through an unlocked rear glass door.
* Pueblo Nuevo Drive: A camera and CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 26000 block at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday.
* Via Pimiento: A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and burglary in the 22000 block at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
PLACENTIA
* Imperial Highway and Rose Drive: A reckless driver was reported at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday.
* Orchard Drive and Lakeview Avenue: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 1:38 p.m. Tuesday.
* Verona Place: An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 1200 block at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday.
* Montevideo and Rose Drive: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
TUSTIN
* El Camino Real: Gang graffiti in the 1100 block were reported at 7:09 a.m. Wednesday. Graffiti were also found on walls in the 15400 block of Pasadena Avenue and in the 1100 block of East 1st Street.
* El Camino Real: A car fire forced police to stop traffic between Browning Avenue and Tustin East Drive in the 1800 block at 12:39 p.m. Wednesday. No one was injured.
