The City Council will meet tonight to consider spending $19,500 on pay raises for city commissioners and committee members. Commissioners and committee members receive small stipends for each meeting they attend. Increases to be considered include: from $60 to $110 per meeting for planning commissioners, and from $30 to $55 per meeting for parks and recreation commissioners and design review and golf course committee members. Increases from $375 to $500 per month are proposed for the city clerk and city treasurer, who also attend public meetings. The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 100 Avenida Presidio.
