Future of Valley Parks to Be Discussed at Forum
The Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a public meeting tonight to discuss with Valley residents the future of city parks in the San Fernando Valley.
Parks and Recreation staff will be looking for community input on the facilities, activities, programs, land acquisition, safety and other recreation issues at city parks, said spokeswoman Gilda Franklin.
The opinions and ideas expressed by residents at the forum will help guide the department in planning decisions, she said.
Tonight’s San Fernando Valley District meeting will begin at 7 in the Balboa Sports Center gymnasium, 17015 Burbank Blvd. near Balboa Boulevard in Encino.
