BUENA PARK
The City Council voted recently to raise members’ monthly salary from $500 to $690, but the raise will not take effect until the next council takes office on Dec. 5, 2000. Councilman Art Brown cast the lone dissenting vote, saying that even though council members deserve a raise, it was not the right time for it.
