Help on Child Credits to Be Offered by IRS
From Times Wire Reports
Thousands who failed to take advantage of new child credits on their income tax returns are getting some help from the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS estimated that so far, more than 30,000 taxpayers who appear to qualify for the $400-per-child credits failed to enter it on their tax forms this year. But Uncle Sam is taking care of the problem. In some cases, this means a larger-than-expected income tax refund; in others, it means a smaller tax bill, the IRS said.
