Kristin R. Dullam; Hospital Admissions Clerk
Ventura resident Kristin Ruth Dullam died March 10 of leukemia, only two days after learning she had the disease. She was 25.
Born Sept. 10, 1973, Dullam attended Ventura High School and Ventura College, where she competed on the track team. She graduated from Cal State Fresno, majoring in speech communication. At the time of her death, Dullam was an admitting clerk at Community Memorial Hospital.
Dullam served as Honored Queen of Bethel 217 of the International Order of Job’s Daughters in 1990. She also worked with the group United Parents, which assists parents of disabled children.
“Kris was a very fun-loving girl, very active in a lot of organizations,” said her father, Tom Dullam. “She really enjoyed working with disabled children. She would have done that as a vocation.”
Dullam is survived by her parents, Tom and Pam Dullam; a brother, Tom; and her grandparents, Ruth and William Ellis. Ventura’s Ted Mayr Funeral Home handled services. Donations may be made in Dullam’s name to the Rainbow Assembly 107, care of the Ventura Masonic Temple.
