Bank Meeting
The Los Angeles Community Development Bank today holds its annual public meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. Bixel St. Bank officials will present an overview of bank programs and take questions and comments from the public. The federally funded bank was created to make loans to businesses in the city’s poorest neighborhoods that are rejected by conventional lenders. Since its creation three years ago, the bank has lent more than $73 million. However, it has come under fire for the way it has managed some of its largest deals.
