LAGUNA BEACH
Visitors are welcome to explore Orange County’s wilderness with the Nature Conservancy at the Irvine Co. Open Space Reserve on weekends. Free guided hikes are offered Saturdays on the reserve, which encompasses 17,000 acres in Emerald Canyon (near Laguna Beach) and Limestone Canyon. Hikes vary from two to eight miles. Sunday mountain-bike rides and monthly full-moon walks are also offered. Information: (714) 832-7478.
