LAGUNA NIGUEL

The Traffic Commission recently gave the green light to a signal at Moulton Parkway and Aliso Niguel, despite some residents’ concern that it will cause unnecessary delays. The signal is needed because of expected development, which will bring more traffic to the northeastern corner of the city, said Dave Rogers, the city’s traffic manager. The city’s agreement with the area’s developer also demands the installation of a signal, Rogers said. The signal will be installed when there is a need for it in response to development, which may be as soon as a year, Rogers said.
