The Mid-American Conference reprimanded Akron Coach Lee Owens for complaining that officials missed two decisive blocks in Saturday’s loss to Miami of Ohio.

Missouri sophomore linebacker Jamonte Robinson was suspended from the team after his arrest Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a woman in the hallway of a university dormitory Oct. 24. . . . The 2000 college football season will begin Aug. 20 with Florida State hosting Brigham Young in the Pigskin Classic at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, it was announced.
