Caltrans Plans Town Hall Meeting
Caltrans will hold a town hall meeting Thursday to discuss transportation needs and upcoming projects for Ventura County.
About $1 billion will be spent on transportation projects in the county in the coming decade, according to Caltrans spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli.
California Department of Transportation Director Jose Medina will host the meeting. Also scheduled to attend are Ventura County Transportation Commission Executive Director Ginger Gherardi, commission chairman and Ventura City Councilman Jack Tingstrom, Oxnard Mayor Manuel Lopez and Caltrans District Director Robert Sassaman, along with various representatives of local city governments.
The meeting will run from 5 to 7 p.m. in the San Miguel Room of the Ventura Holiday Inn at 450 E. Harbor Blvd.
