Hancock 48, Pierce 21--Despite a 303-yard passing effort by Jamaal Washington, the Brahmas were outclassed at Pierce.
Washington completed 18 of 31 passes, including three touchdowns, and had two passes intercepted.
He threw touchdown passes of two and 30 yards to Damon Coleman and 79 yards to Peter Gunny.
Coleman finished with eight catches for 74 yards and Gunny had five for 189. Coleman leads the Brahmas (1-6, 0-4) with 28 receptions.
Hancock (6-1, 3-1), ranked No. 7 in the state, finished with 538 yards.
Chris Lester rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns in 15 carries and Devon LyBurtus finished with 130 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries.
Pierce played without receiver Aaron Lewis, who was suspended for the game for missing practice, and without running back Joseph Looney, who quit the team.
Looney, a freshman from Reseda, was the team’s leading rusher with 275 yards and a touchdown in 50 carries.
