LAGUNA WOODS
Leisure World’s softball club is looking for more players.
The group plays on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Club members warm up for about 15 minutes by playing catch and then an hourlong game.
“We’re getting short on guys,” said Joe Goldstein, organizer of the gatherings.
The players take turns hitting and pitching in front of a backstop. Hitters do not run the bases.
Players meet at 8:15 a.m. at Iglesias Park, just outside Gate 3.
