I came to life in 1993 as an amusing printed financial newsletter that two brothers tried to get friends and relatives to subscribe to. Only a few dozen did so. A year later I made my debut online and received a much warmer reception. I’m on a mission to improve people’s lives, and almost all that I offer is free. I have a weekly radio show and a weekly newspaper feature. Some people on Wall Street think I’m full of hot air, and the people on my staff sometimes wear clothing that jingles. I’m throwing a party for my employees on April 1. Who am I?

Last Week’s Trivia Answer: I came to life as a Goldsboro, N.C., store, established by two Lithuanian immigrants. Today I’m America’s largest retail furniture chain, raking in nearly $3 billion annually. I’m based in Virginia now and employ more than 17,000 people. Since 1983 I’ve expanded my number of stores from 104 in five states to 906 in 29 states and Puerto Rico. I went public in 1972, and my stock has floundered in recent years. Most of my outlets are in small towns with fewer than 50,000 people. Most of my stores carry my name, but some go by the RoomStore, Homemakers and Berrios. Who am I? (Answer: Heilig-Meyers Co.)
