Curbside parking may prove to be costly in a neighborhood near Dana Hills High School since Orange County sheriff’s deputies have begun enforcing restrictions that require parked vehicles to display a residential permit during school hours.
Deputies initially were issuing about 20 tickets a day in the Acapulco Preferential Parking District, according to the Sheriff’s Department. But the number of tickets issued has dropped to four a day because of increased awareness, said Lt. Gus De La Torre, the city’s chief of police services.
