SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The City Council will conduct a public hearing tonight to deal with whether the city should apply for a housing and community development grant from the state.
Residents can recommend possible uses for the money at the hearing.
City staff is recommending the council not apply for the state grant because the city has already received $1 million for housing from the state the past two years and will not be able to allocate additional money within the time limits.
