Schoolchildren and the Census
Re “Program Enlists Youths to Help With Census,” March 31.
This article concerning schoolchildren and their use by the Census Bureau to ensure that their parents were complying with government regulations brought back memories of other times.
Doesn’t seem so long ago that the National Socialist Party of Germany and the Communist Party of the USSR were similarly engaged.
All that’s missing are medals for the kids who rat on Mom and Dad for not properly filling out their census forms.
