YORBA LINDA
Students from Yorba Linda and Travis Ranch middle schools will launch rockets with other Orange County students in a rocket competition April 15 in Tustin. The winner will be the one whose rocket stays in the air the longest.
The students will make the rockets out of customized plastic soda bottles that will be propelled with compressed air and water. Each team will get two chances to get its rockets aloft.
All the work on the rockets must be done by the participants only. The contest will begin at 9 a.m. on the Tustin High School athletic field at 1171 El Camino Real. Information: (714) 229-2223.
